How To Manually Configure Your Microsoft Exchange Email Account in Outlook 2007 & Outlook 2003

Use the following steps below to setup your Infinity Arts hosted, Microsoft Exchange Email Account in Outlook.

Note: you must be using Microsoft Outlook 2003 SP3 (Service Pack 3) or better. If you are using Outlook 2003, you can check which Service Pack you have by clicking on Help, then click on About. Download & install the latest Service Pack for Outlook 2003

  1. Make sure that Outlook is NOT currently running; if it is running: Click on File and then Exit

  2. Click on the Windows Start Button located in the bottom left corner of your desktop, on the "Start Menu" click on Control Panel
  3. Once the "Control Panel" is open locate and click on Mail

  4. Click on Email Accounts

  5. In the "Account Settings" window, click on New

    Note: if you already have an MS Exchange Account setup in your Outlook you will need to setup your email in POP3 format. Please contact us and/or visit: www.infinityarts.com/Setting_Up_Email_in_Outlook_2007/blogpost9410 for more details.
  6. Make sure that Microsoft Exchange is selected, then click Next

  7. Check "Manually configure server settings or..."

  8. Select Microsoft Exchange, then click Next
  9. Enter the following information and click More Settings
    • Miscrosoft Exchange server: mailserver1.iams01.infinityarts.com
    • User Name: enter your login name (typically: firstname.lastname)

  10. Click on the General Tab, then check Automatically detect connection state

  11. Click on the Security Tab, then check Encryption and be sure that Logon network security matches the settings shown in the screen below

  12. Click on the Connection Tab, then check "Connect to Microsoft Exchange using HTTP" and click on Exchange Proxy Settings

  13. Under "Connection Settings" enter the following information and click OK
    • "https://": iams01.infinityarts.com
    • Then select Basic Authentication under "Proxy authentication settings"

  14. Click Apply, then click OK

  15. Click on Check Name

  16. In the "Account Settings" window, click on New

    Note: the user name MUST be entered as your login email address: fistname.lastname@mydomain.com

    Note: it may take a few minutes or more to see the Login Screen above.If this screen does not appear for you at all, please try the steps 1-14 again. If you still are unable to see the Login Screen above, please contact us for further assistance.
  17. Once logged in you may be prompted to change your password (leave the Microsoft Exchange field blank). The "Check Name" button should be disabled, click Next and then Finish. Finally, launch Outlook and you should now be able to access your email.
